Chez Lui Bistro Virtual Tour on Google Maps

Chez Lui Restaurant Google Virtual Tour

Chez Lui is a French bistrot at 184A Kensington Park Road in the heart of Notting Hill.

The restaurant is inspired by the ease of French dining and the warmth of a good friend’s table. Its character combines Parisian style, soulful French food and the distinctive atmosphere of its Notting Hill neighbourhood.

360 View created a Google Maps virtual tour that allows potential customers to explore the outdoor terrace, entrance, dining room, seating and bar before booking or planning a visit.

The photography took approximately 30 minutes. Within three days, the complete virtual tour had been created, checked and published live on Google Maps.

A French Bistrot With Its Own Character

Chez Lui its a neighbourhood bistrot where guests can slow down, savour the moment and feel at home.

That identity can be seen throughout the restaurant.

Inside, coral red banquettes sit alongside warm timber panelling and wooden floors. Tables dressed in white linen, softly glowing pendant lights, brass details and large mirrors give the dining room an elegant but comfortable appearance.

Black and white photographs bring personality to the walls, while the bar, glassware and carefully laid tables show the restaurant prepared to welcome its customers.

Outside, colourful red and rattan style chairs continue the French bistrot character onto the terrace. Large windows connect the outside tables with the main dining room and make the restaurant feel open to the surrounding neighbourhood.

The virtual tour brings these individual details together and shows how the complete restaurant feels as a space.

Why New Google Maps Imagery Was Important

Google’s older road level Street View imagery, captured in October 2020, still showed HAYA, the restaurant that previously occupied the same address.

The street also looked very different. Parking spaces were positioned directly outside the businesses, with cars and vans occupying the area now used by pedestrians and restaurant terraces.

Since then, the parking spaces have been removed and the pavement has been extended into part of the former road area. This has created more room for walking, planting and outdoor dining.

Chez Lui now has a welcoming pavement terrace surrounded by other restaurants and shops. The setting feels more modern, more open and less dominated by parked vehicles.

The older imagery did not show the Chez Lui name, its current entrance, its terrace or the transformed street. Our new exterior photography gives customers a more accurate view of what they will find today.

The virtual tour does not remove Google’s historical road imagery. It adds a current view connected to the Chez Lui location on Google Maps, allowing customers to see the business that now occupies the address.

A 30 Minute Shoot Before Opening

We photographed Chez Lui shortly before it opened, while the restaurant was empty and fully prepared for service.

The team had laid the tables, arranged the seating and set the lighting. This allowed us to photograph the restaurant exactly as customers would experience it, without interrupting service.

We planned a connected route beginning outside the restaurant. From the terrace, customers can move through the entrance and continue into the dining room towards the bar.

The complete interior and exterior photography took approximately 30 minutes.

It was a clear and sunny day, which was ideal for showing the outdoor terrace, extended pavement and surrounding Notting Hill street. The bright conditions also created a welcoming connection between the exterior and the warmly lit dining room.

Live on Google Maps Within Three Days

After the photography, we prepared the panoramic images and connected the individual positions to create a natural walkthrough.

We checked the image quality, viewing directions and movement between each point before publishing the completed tour.

Within three days of the shoot, the Chez Lui virtual tour was live on Google Maps.

This gave the restaurant a current visual representation of its entrance, terrace and interior, even though the older road level imagery continued to show HAYA and the previous street layout.

How the Virtual Tour Helps the Restaurant

Customers researching Chez Lui can now see the restaurant’s current appearance rather than relying on outdated street imagery.

They can explore the terrace, recognise the entrance, understand the seating layout and get a genuine sense of the atmosphere before making a reservation.

The surrounding street also provides helpful reference points for customers who are unfamiliar with the area and want to plan their arrival.

For the restaurant’s owners and marketing team, the completed tour is a useful visual asset for Google Maps, the Google Business Profile, the restaurant website, private dining enquiries, social media and press materials.

The project also demonstrates that professional restaurant 360 photography does not need to interfere with service. With the venue prepared in advance, we completed the Chez Lui photography in around 30 minutes before customers arrived.

Restaurant Virtual Tours for Google Maps

360 View creates professional Indoor Google Street View virtual tours for restaurants, bars, cafés, hotels and hospitality venues across London and the UK.

A new virtual tour can be particularly useful when a restaurant has recently opened, changed its name, completed a refurbishment, introduced an outdoor terrace or moved into a location where Google still shows the previous business.

The connected tour can also be embedded on the restaurant’s website, booking page or private dining page.
