Matterport Capture Services UK: Official Booking and Independent Providers Compared

Matterport Scanning Services London

If you need a Matterport digital twin in the UK, you can book through Matterport Capture Services or appoint an independent provider. Both routes use the Matterport platform, but the booking process, project planning, camera, hosting, support and total cost can differ.

This guide compares the information currently published by Matterport and a selection of UK providers. It is intended to help you create a shortlist and compare quotations on the same basis. It does not name one provider as the best choice for every project.

Businesses may also describe this service as hiring a Matterport photographer, a capture technician or a Matterport scanning provider. Whatever term is used, the important question is whether the proposed service suits the purpose of the model.

A clear disclosure

360 View publishes this article, provides Matterport capture services and appears in the comparison. We therefore have a commercial interest in the subject.

We checked provider information against the companies’ own websites on 26 August 2026. These sources show what each business publishes, but they do not independently prove service quality or results. We have not commissioned and tested every provider. Prices, availability and packages can change, so ask for a written quotation before booking.

This is a comparison, not a ranking. Every provider should be judged against the purpose and full scope of your project.

Quick answer: which Matterport provider should you choose?

Matterport Capture Services may suit organisations that want to book through the platform owner, check availability online and receive the finished model in their own Matterport account. It can also support programmes across many locations.

An independent provider may suit a project that needs direct planning, a named camera, support from the capture team or related services such as Google Street View, photography, a bespoke tour, BIM or point cloud data.

First establish what must be captured, who will use the model, which account will hold it, how long hosting is included and which deliverables cost extra.

Matterport Capture Services or an independent provider?

The two routes can produce a model on the same platform, but the commercial relationship and workflow are different.

QuestionMatterport Capture Services On DemandIndependent provider
Booking and paymentA paid Matterport plan is required. For a standard card booking, Matterport’s terms require payment when the job is confirmed or the order is placed. Contract customers can have a different schedule.Terms vary. A provider may request a deposit, payment before capture or payment after delivery.
Who attends? The customer orders from and pays Matterport. Matterport arranges a local Capture Technician as its subcontractor. The customer appoints the provider directly. Ask whether the person discussing the brief will also attend the site.
PlanningOn Demand uses a property form, capture guidance and a standard booking process. Matterport can also discuss large or complex properties through its Enterprise service.Planning can be agreed directly around the audience, access restrictions and important viewpoints, but it must be included in the quotation.
CameraMatterport promises a Pro camera, not a particular Pro model for every booking. Confirm Pro3 if it is required.Pro2, Pro3 and compatible 360 cameras can all be used with the platform. Ask which device will be used and why it suits the project.
HostingThe model is delivered to the customer’s Matterport account, which requires a separate paid plan for hosting and sharing. Some providers manage hosting for the customer. Confirm the period, renewal price, transfer options and what happens if the service ends.
SupportMatterport provides an online support form, chat and a UK telephone number. Capture quality concerns can be raised with its Capture Services team.Support is normally provided by the appointed business under its own response times, correction policy and hosting terms.

These are common differences, not guarantees. Compare the written scope rather than relying on assumptions about either route.

1. Matterport Capture Services

Matterport operates the digital twin platform and arranges professional capture. Its On Demand service offers online availability checking and card booking. Enterprise is designed for larger or more complex programmes.

Matterport says On Demand supports properties up to 30,000 square feet and that a completed digital twin can be ready in as little as 24 to 48 hours. The finished model is delivered to the customer’s Matterport account. It also states that Capture Technicians are vetted, trained and certified.

Potential strengths: The customer has a direct commercial relationship with the platform owner. The standard process, online appointment checking and broad city coverage may make procurement simpler across several locations. Enterprise can add account management, integrations and volume arrangements.

Confirm before booking: A paid subscription is required in addition to the capture. Schematic Floor Plans, MatterPak, E57, CAD and BIM outputs may cost extra and can require a particular plan. Travel outside a covered city, work outside normal hours and late changes can also affect the price. Matterport promises a Pro camera, so specify Pro3 if the project requires it. Its terms require a quality concern to be reported in writing within five business days and describe repeat performance as the remedy.

May suit: Organisations that value central procurement, direct account delivery and a repeatable process across many locations.

2. 360 View

360 View provides Matterport capture across the UK and mainland Europe. Its Matterport camera information says that it uses Pro2 and Pro3 cameras. Published prices start at £287 for spaces up to 200 square metres, £574 for 200 to 500 square metres and £1,148 above 500 square metres. Final cost depends on the area, layout, scan density and deliverables.

Potential strengths: Every project is discussed and planned around its intended purpose, users and required deliverables. A customer facing tour may prioritise the entrance, natural flow, atmosphere and important features of the space. A private model for technical or operational use may require closer views of equipment, access routes, infrastructure or other areas that remote teams need to examine.

Capture routes, scan positions and scan density are planned around how people will use the finished model. Important areas can be captured from useful angles, while scan positions are chosen to help create clear connections and natural movement through the space. This is intended to reduce confusing transitions and make the model feel coherent rather than simply recording the minimum required coverage.

Clients deal directly with 360 View throughout planning, capture and delivery. The company also remains the point of contact for hosting, post delivery questions and agreed future changes.

What stands out: 360 View publishes live work examples and has experience across residential property, hospitality, retail, education, healthcare, government, entertainment and industrial environments. A published Logicor case study documents a 40,000 square foot industrial development. Another case study covers a private Matterport model for a large London entertainment venue, captured across three visits for operational planning and technical collaboration.

Some larger or more sensitive projects cannot be shown publicly because they were created for internal use or involved restricted environments. This means the public portfolio represents only part of the company’s experience.

Confirm before booking: There is no instant booking calendar or online checkout. Ask how long hosting is included, the renewal cost, whose Matterport account will hold the model and whether VAT, travel, future changes and every required deliverable are included.

May suit: Organisations looking for project specific planning, direct contact with an experienced provider, confirmed Pro3 capture, privacy controls or experience with complex operational spaces.

3. Biztour

Biztour is based in London and describes itself as a Matterport service partner. Its published package includes an immersive walkthrough, dollhouse and native floor plan views, measurements, a shareable link and website embedding.

Matterport tours start at £550 plus VAT. Biztour asks for a 50 per cent deposit to secure the date, 25 per cent after the shoot and the remaining 25 per cent on delivery and approval. It gives an expected visit time of 2 to 8 hours and delivery within 4 to 10 working days.

Potential strengths: Prices, VAT treatment, payment stages and delivery expectations are set out before enquiry. Travel is included within London Zones 1 to 4. Work elsewhere is priced by mileage or transport and may use a vetted photographer roster. The website provides live tours and case studies. Biztour identifies itself as a trading name of Cornerstone Marketing Group Ltd.

Confirm before booking: The exact camera model is not stated, so request Pro2 or Pro3 in the quotation if it matters. For work outside London, confirm who will attend and their relevant experience. Biztour retains copyright and gives the customer a lifetime licence, while annual hosting is still needed to keep the tour online. Ask whose account holds the model, whether it can be transferred and what happens if hosting ends.

May suit: Organisations wanting published commercial terms, a London point of contact and coordinated capture at one or more locations.

4. 360 Virtual Tours

360 Virtual Tours is operated by View 3sixty Ltd. It provides Matterport capture, bespoke branded tours, Google Street View, photography, video and a tour management platform.

The company’s UK service information says that it uses Pro3 cameras and does not add a separate travel charge for mainland UK work. Matterport prices start at £350 for smaller locations, with recurring hosting.

Potential strengths: The provider combines national coordination and published entry pricing with a clear choice between Matterport and a bespoke tour. Mattertags are included. Floor plans, photography, Google Street View and BIM files are also available. Its website explains expected capture and processing times and shows named Matterport projects.

Confirm before booking: The £350 figure is a starting price and the general hosting cost is not published. Some technical files and complementary photography cost extra. Delivery into the customer’s account is described for a show home package, so ask whether it applies to the proposed project. Matterport also offers less image retouching and branding control than the provider’s bespoke tour, which may affect the best format for the brief.

May suit: Organisations wanting nationwide capture, Pro3 use and access to both Matterport and bespoke virtual tour options.

5. Future World 3D

Future World 3D is based in Petersfield, Hampshire, and says it travels throughout the UK. It works with businesses, venues, schools, property, hospitality, retail, construction and industrial sites.

Its price for a small retail space starts at £350. Hosting is listed at £65 per tour each year, rising to £100 for a very large space. The company says it uses Matterport Pro2 and Pro3 cameras.

Potential strengths: The starting price and annual hosting costs are visible. Evening and weekend visits and availability seven days a week are promoted. The company offers preparation and staging support, while published features include Mattertags, still images, external panoramas, measurements and Google Street View integration. Sector examples and named testimonials are also available.

Confirm before booking: No standard delivery time is published. Travel costs and account control are not explained publicly. Different pages describe floor plans differently, so ask whether a downloadable plan is included or charged separately. The website refers to surveys but does not clearly set out a standard BIM, Revit, IFC or point cloud package. Any accuracy requirement or technical output should be defined before booking.

May suit: Businesses, schools and venues wanting flexible scheduling, preparation support and visible annual hosting costs.

How to compare Matterport service providers in the UK

A low starting price is not useful if important capture areas, hosting or required files are missing. Ask each shortlisted provider to address the same questions in writing.

1. What is the model for?

A marketing tour and a model for remote technical review may need different viewpoints. Define the users, the decisions they need to make and the areas or items they must see. For a venue, this could include stage access, loading routes, control positions or equipment.

Ask the provider to describe the capture route, important viewpoints and any annotations. More scan positions are not automatically better. Coverage should follow the purpose.

2. Which camera and technician will be used?

Matterport supports Pro cameras and several compatible 360 cameras. Its camera comparison positions Pro3 for large, outdoor and technically demanding spaces, and Pro2 for small and medium indoor spaces. Compatible cameras can work well for marketing and general documentation, although accuracy and point cloud density can differ from Pro3.

A compatible 360 camera is not automatically poor quality. The concern is a provider that will not identify the equipment or explain why it fits the brief. Also ask who will attend, what similar spaces that person has captured and what happens if they become unavailable.

3. How will the site and capture be prepared?

Confirm what the provider will check and what the client must prepare. Guidance can cover access, lighting, staging, privacy, reflective surfaces, moving objects, operating hours and restricted areas. The quotation should state visit and delivery times and responsibilities for site preparation.

4. What evidence shows relevant experience?

Look for navigable tours and case studies that resemble the property type, scale and intended use. For private work, ask whether a relevant example can be shown confidentially.

Recent reviews can show how a provider communicates, prepares and supports clients. Detailed reviews about recognisable projects are more useful than a star score alone. Company size does not prove skill, so ask who will deliver the project and what relevant experience they have.

5. What is included and how accurate must it be?

List the areas, floors, external spaces and viewpoints to be captured. Then confirm whether the price includes still images, Mattertags, downloadable floor plans, a guided tour or Google Street View publication. For technical work, specify the required E57, MatterPak, CAD, BIM or point cloud format and any tolerance that must be achieved.

6. Who controls the model and hosting?

Provider managed hosting can remove the need for another subscription, but it creates reliance on the provider. Confirm whose account holds the model, the hosting period, renewal fee, amendment charges and transfer options. Ask what happens if hosting ends. Copyright or usage rights should be distinguished from the hosting needed to keep the tour accessible.

7. What is the complete price and timetable?

Ask whether the quote includes VAT, travel, parking, work outside normal hours and every required deliverable. Confirm the deposit, payment stages, cancellation and rescheduling terms. A temporary offer matters less than the complete first year cost and the continuing hosting cost.

8. What support and business safeguards are provided?

Confirm response times, correction terms, privacy controls and amendment costs. The quotation, invoice and payment request should identify the contracting business or sole trader. Ask about insurance and data handling.

Limited companies can be checked at Companies House, and VAT numbers through HMRC. These checks improve traceability but do not guarantee quality. Sole traders normally register through HMRC, while a registered office may belong to an accountant or agent. Google allows service area businesses to hide an address when customers are not served there. Clear contractual identity and reliable contact details matter more.

Accuracy and technical use

Matterport Pro3 is a capable LiDAR system, but it should not be described as survey grade or accurate to the millimetre without a stated tolerance and suitable checking process. Matterport gives a raw depth sensor specification of plus or minus 20 millimetres at 10 metres. That is not a guaranteed tolerance for every processed model or derived file.

A navigable Matterport model, an E57 point cloud, a BIM model and a measured survey are different deliverables. If measurements will guide construction, fabrication, legal boundaries or safety decisions, define the required accuracy, file format and verification method before appointment. See the Matterport Pro3 specifications.

Frequently asked questions

What is included in a professional Matterport capture service?

A standard service normally includes on site capture, model processing, a shareable digital twin and website embedding. Hosting, floor plans, still images, Mattertags, Google Street View publication and technical files are not always included. Ask for every deliverable and continuing cost to be listed in the quotation.

How much does a Matterport scan cost in the UK?

Published starting prices in this comparison range from £287 to £550 for the national providers that display an entry price, but the packages are not equivalent. Property size, layout, travel, VAT, hosting, camera choice and additional outputs can change the total. Compare quotations prepared for the same scope.

Should I book through Matterport or use an independent provider?

Matterport’s own service may suit central procurement and direct delivery into your account. An independent provider may suit projects that need direct planning, a specified camera or related photography and spatial services. The better route depends on the written scope, not the provider category alone.

Is Matterport Capture Services available in the UK?

Yes, subject to the property address and appointment availability. Matterport says On Demand operates in more than 200 cities worldwide, while independent providers publish their own coverage. Check the actual address and date rather than relying on a general national claim.

Do I need a Matterport subscription?

Matterport requires a paid plan when its own Capture Services are booked. Independent providers use different arrangements. Some manage hosting, while others can place or transfer the model into the customer’s account.

Which Matterport camera should a provider use?

Pro2, Pro3 and compatible 360 cameras can all create Matterport models. Pro3 is particularly useful for large spaces, exterior capture and technical outputs, while Pro2 can suit small and medium interiors. Ask the provider to identify the camera and explain why it suits the intended use.

Who owns and hosts the completed Matterport tour?

The answer depends on the booking route. Matterport delivers the model into the customer’s paid account. Some independent providers host models for their clients. Confirm the account holder, hosting period, renewal fee, usage rights, transfer options and what happens if hosting ends.

Can a Matterport tour be published to Google Street View?

Publication is possible through eligible Matterport plans, and several providers offer it. It is not automatically included. Confirm who will publish it and which Google Business Profile or Maps listing will receive the imagery.

Choosing the right provider

Matterport’s own network offers central procurement, direct account delivery and international scale. An independent provider can offer a closer working relationship and services such as photography, Google Street View, bespoke presentation and technical spatial data.

The best comparison is not simply who advertises the lowest price. It is which provider clearly understands the purpose, documents the full scope and explains what the customer will receive now and in the future.

If you would like 360 View to assess your space and provide a written Matterport quotation, contact the 360 View team. You can also review recent virtual tour and spatial data projects before deciding whether the service fits your brief.

How providers were selected

This is a selected comparison, not a complete directory. The initial list came from a Google Maps search for “Matterport Capture Services UK” carried out on 26 August 2026. Matterport’s own service and Biztour were also included. Google explains that local results are mainly shaped by relevance, distance and popularity. Maps results can also reflect previous activity, so the companies and order can change with the search location, map position, zoom level and user.

We only profiled businesses with enough current information on an official website to answer the same comparison questions. Property Scan 3D.co appeared in the supplied result but was not profiled because we could not find sufficient current service and package information from an official website. This is not a judgement about the quality of its work.
