What We Delivered

We created one coordinated Matterport model that brings together the captured warehouse, office and external areas across the development.

Unit specific starting links open the tour at the relevant entrance. Someone interested in a particular unit can therefore begin in the right place without searching through the entire park.

We supplied the Matterport embed code and the unit specific links used by the official Logicor Park Dartford website. A clear selector above the embedded viewer displays the units currently being marketed, with each button opening the same model at the corresponding entrance.

Mattertags inside the tour identify each unit and display its published floor area or dimensions. This answers common questions while the viewer is exploring, without requiring them to leave the model. These details provide useful marketing context and do not replace formal property particulars or a measured survey.

Ongoing Support as Availability Changes

The project did not end when the model went live. We continue to support the public presentation as the leasing position changes.

When a captured unit becomes available, it can be added to the selector and opened at the correct starting position. When a unit is let or occupied, it can be removed from the public selector and the published visitor journey can be adjusted. This keeps the tour aligned with the units being marketed without creating a completely new model each time availability changes.

Logicor is a European logistics real estate company that owns, manages and develops warehouses and distribution properties near important transport hubs and major population centres. Its current company profile describes a portfolio of more than 17 million square metres of warehouse space across 16 countries, supporting over 1,700 customers from different industries.

Logicor Park Dartford is a Grade A light industrial development beside the M25 and Dartford Crossing. The park contains 20 units arranged across three buildings, with internal offices, service yards and parking areas supporting delivery and staff access. Logicor lists the development at 81,092 sq ft, which is approximately 82,000 sq ft.

The units also include features such as solar panels, electric vehicle charging and LED lighting, with BREEAM Excellent and EPC A credentials. For this Matterport project, however, the defining challenge was the combination of scale, repeated industrial spaces and three separate buildings that needed to remain clear within one digital experience.

Planning and Capturing a Large Industrial Site

A large warehouse is not simply a small property with more floor area.

Open industrial spaces can contain long sightlines, repeated columns, similar entrances and fewer visual reference points than a furnished shop or office. These conditions make the capture order, spacing and alignment especially important. Matterport’s guidance for scanning large spaces also recommends planning the alignment path and checking the model carefully for alignment issues.

At Logicor Park Dartford, the route also needed to connect exterior areas with warehouse interiors and offices across three buildings. We planned the work building by building and unit by unit so the finished model would remain understandable to someone who had never visited the estate.

Why We Used the Matterport Pro3

We captured the project with the Matterport Pro3. Its LiDAR capture is designed for large indoor and outdoor spaces, including exterior work in direct sunlight. This made it well suited to a development where the route moves between service areas, unit entrances, warehouse floors and internal offices.

On site capture took place over two days. After capture, we organised the model, checked the transitions and prepared it for the website experience.

What Property Teams Can Understand from the Model

Photography, plans and property specifications remain important, but they cannot provide the same freedom to move through a space and understand how its visible areas relate to one another.
